Cameron Davey (b. 1995) was born in Johannesburg, but spent his formative years in Dubai, UAE before moving back in 2011. He currently lives and works in Cape Town.
In 2012 Davey formed part of the psychedelic noise-rock band Changeling together with Noah Swinney (The Psalms, Changeling, The Fizz Pops, Kalahari Surfers). Davey has subsequently featured in The Psalms, The Fizz Pops, Hyroine and other local projects.
Changeling came to an end in 2016. Davey continued to write music while studying Psychology and Philosophy for two years through UNISA. After completing his second year Davey decided to pursue music full time. In July 2017 Davey created his first solo project and started working on his debut album. ‘Sanguine’ was released in May 2018 under the name The Perfect Boy.
He is currently working on his second album.
